What is a Further Advance?

TFS will refinance your existing account and advance you the additional funds you require for example a new loan for £5,000 will be broken down as £2,000 to close off your existing account and £3,000 will be sent to your Guarantor.

How many payments would I have to have made to get a further advance?

You would have had to have made your last 6 payments.

Do I have to use the same Guarantor?

No you can use a new guarantor as long as they meet our Guarantor Requirements.

How much more can I borrow?

You can borrow up to a total loan of £15,000, depending on your circumstances.

Will I be charged any fees?

No there are no fees for additional borrowing.

What can I do if I am in financial difficulty and I’m having trouble making my repayments?

If you have missed a payment or worried about a future payment then in the first instance give us a call, write or email us and we can help you through this by talking you through your options. You can call us Mon to Thurs from 8am – 7pm or Friday 9am – 5pm, on 0203 476 4371, or email collections@tfsloans.co.uk

There will be a few things we may need to know:

  • Details of your income: 3 months’ worth of payslips, or if self-employed, certified accounts, self-assessment tax returns (SA302) or the last 3 months bank statements.
  • Monthly spending: Last 3 months bank statements for all bank  accounts you hold.
  • Details of payments you need to make to other lenders that you owe money to – we can send you an statement of means form to complete .

The Money Advice Service (MAS)

Set up by the UK government, the MAS offers free and impartial money advice. They can provide you with information and guidance to help you decide the best way to take things forward and keep your payments on track.

Can I pay back my loan early?

Yes, if you find, during the term of your loan, that you are able to pay it off earlier than expected, you can do so. Please be aware that you will be subject to an early pay-off charge of up to 58-days interest. If you wish to pay back your loan early and you are up to date with your payments please call 0203 476 7399 or email cs@tfsloans.co.uk. If you are in arrears and wish to pay back your loan early please call 0203 476 4371 or email collections@tfsloans.co.uk.

Can I change my payment date?

Yes, you can change your payment date at any time. We know that your circumstances sometime change so we try to be as flexible as possible. To change your payment date please contact us on 0203 476 7399 or email cs@tfsloans.co.uk. You will need to give us 5 working days notice for the new date to be implemented.

What happens if a repayment lands on a bank holiday or weekend?

If your monthly loan payment is due on a Saturday, Sunday or Bank holiday, it will be collected the first working day after the weekend or bank holiday. If you have any questions about your repayments, please email cs@tfsloans.co.uk, or call us on 0203 476 7399.

How do I opt out of marketing?

If you want to stop receiving marketing communications from us, you can simply click the ‘Opt out’ link at the bottom of a marketing email sent by TFS Loans and this will ensure that you won’t receive any more marketing emails. You can also opt out of marketing texts by texting back ‘STOP’.
Alternatively you are welcome to give us a call on 0203 476 7399 or email cs@tfsloans.co.uk and we will remove you from our marketing database. Our offices are open 9am- 7pm Monday – Thursday and 9am – 5pm Friday.
Please note, by opting out of marketing communications you are not opting out of all communications. We are required to send you information about your loan, such as statements and any changes or updates to your product.

How can I find out what my current balance is?

To find out what your current balance is, simply call us on 0203 476 7399 or email cs@tfsloans.co.uk. Our office is open 9am-7pm Monday – Thursday, 9am – 5pm Friday.

How can I request a settlement figure?

To request a settlement figure please call us on 0203 476 7399 or email cs@tfsloans.co.uk. Our office is open 9am-7pm Monday – Thursday, 9am – 5pm Friday.

How often do I receive statements?

You receive a yearly statement on the month that the loan was taken out, until the end of the loan term. You can also request a statement at any time by calling 0203 476 7399 or emailing cs@tfsloans.co.uk.

How can I change my details?

If you wish to change any of your details – such as your address or name, you can contact us on 0203 476 7399 or email cs@tfsloans.co.uk. Our office is open 9am-7pm Monday – Thursday, 9am – 5pm Friday.

Can I view my statement online?

No, unfortunately we do not offer this service currently. This is something we are looking to develop in the future, but for the time being if you would like a statement or to request a setllement figure, please give us a call on 0203 476 7399, Mon-Thurs 9am-7pm, Friday 9am – 5pm, or email cs@tfsloans.co.uk.
