No. As long as the loan is paid in full, this will not show as a loan on your credit file. A loan from TFS will not affect your credit score or credit file, in the long term, as you are not the borrower. You co-sign the documents in order to ensure that, should the borrower fail to make monthly payments, you will cover the cost instead. The loan is in the borrower’s name and you are listed solely as a guarantor.
In the first instance, there will be a credit check noted on your Credit File. This however is temporary and does not affect your long term score.
