On 26th March 2020, the Government also announced a scheme that will provide support for self-employed individuals who have lost income as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Under the Self-employment Income Support Scheme, self-employed individuals will be able to claim a taxable grant worth 80% of their trading profits up to a maximum of £2,500 per month for the next three months.
The scheme may be extended if necessary.
